Why?

This work had been started in 1991 and completed in 1992 following the Los Angeles Rodney King Riots. I can recalls three days of feeling trapped in my small Los Angeles apartment, looking out and seeing the darken smoke filled skies as all around was being destroyed and set a blaze. Realizing that these were our stores and our jobs being burned to the ground by our own community, sitting in silence I  could remember only asking myself "WHY?".
